It is upon us. Apart from the highly anticipated film of the summer, Man of Steel, comic book retailers are participating in a day dedicated to the alien hero himself, Superman. Wednesday June 12th has been announced as Man of Steel Day and apart from the excitement inflicted one can also receive a copy of ALL STAR SUPERMAN #1 SPECIAL EDITION comic book by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly.
Today in Times Square a massive Star War’s tent was erected. The Lego Yoda Chronicles tent was set up in order to create buzz about the upcoming special airing on Cartoon Network Wednesday May 29th at 8PM. After a crowd had formed a Cartoon Network Emcee who was dressed as a Rebel pilot emerged asking on lookers what they thought was in the statue. The most common answer was a Yoda statue, and how they were wrong.
Bryan Singer has announced that Quicksilver will be featured in XMen: Day’s of Future Past. This character will be played by American Horror Story’s Evan Peters. However, in all of this happiness of casting and announcements we are so soon to forget that Quicksilver and his sister Scarlet Witch are to be featured in Joss Whedon’s new Avengers 2 script. Marvel crossover? PLEASE!
A man in Elbow Lake, Minn. who had recently purchased a house for next to nothing, only to find out that the house was way more valuable than it appeared. During the process of cleaning and gutting the structure, David Gonzales found a mound of papers providing insulation to the house. Amidst said papers an unusual book caught his eye. A copy of Action Comics No. 1 was found. This comic first aired in 1938 and is the first appearance of the one, the only, Superman.
There are a lot of rumors trolling around this weekend about favorites becoming television shows. Fan’s are buzzing about a potential show for the highly successful game, Halo, that is rumored to be a promotional work for Xbox One’s new television-like feature. There is also talks of a Wonder Woman show coming into existence after seeing the pilot of the Amazonian last year.
Since the first wave of water colored poster art had been released for the newest installment of “The Wolverine” we have only seen vague and slightly distinguishable characters. In accordance with the new trailer release (which is awesome) we have also been given posters that are clearly defined as characters Yukio and Viper. The art is still pretty ambiguous, however follows in suit with the films genre and style and I think they work well. Not to mention a pretty awesome scene in the trailer of Jean Grey was revealed.
Microsoft announced yesterday that they will be announcing their new console later this year. This console is a little bit larger than the last one and has it comes with a newly designed kinetic motion controller. This is the answer to the announcement of the Playstation 4 three months ago and the WiiU’s release last year.

The highly anticipated new game from the Arkham series has released a full length trailer featuring Deathstroke. This is going to be so phenomenally awesome. On par with the other films the graphics, for cut scenes anyway, look realistic and fantastic. I know that I am not the only one excited about this game.
