Amanda Harvey News

Today in Times Square a massive Star War’s tent was erected. The Lego Yoda Chronicles tent was set up in order to create buzz about the upcoming special airing on Cartoon Network Wednesday May 29th at 8PM. After a crowd had formed a Cartoon Network Emcee who was dressed as a Rebel pilot emerged asking on lookers what they thought was in the statue. The most common answer was a Yoda statue, and how they were wrong.
Under the tents shadow was a life size X-Wing Fighter made completely out of Legos. This is the world’s largest LEGO model at 11-feet tall, 43-feet long, and with a 44-foot wingspan. It was made with over five million legos, that’s 5,335,200 to be exact. It weighs 45,979.61 pounds and took 32 builders 17,336 hours to construct. And there is an R2D2 unit inside.
The structure will be there for three days and then will be sent to Lego Land in California for the rest of the year.
