Happy 75th anniversary to the Man of Steel, and with this celebration comes a new logo. This new logo was released today along with plans for a new animated short. The two-minute animated film will be produced by no one other that Zac Snyder himself.
The film is being made in LA, London, and Korea. While the premise is still a little shoddy, we know that the short film will be a compilation of the different nuances that Superman has portrayed over the last 75 years. “Max Fleischer’s cartoons, on-screen portrayals by George Reeves and Christopher Reeve, iconic versions drawn by artists Wayne Boring, Curt Swan and Neal Adams, up on through Henry Cavill’s interpretation in Man of Steel.”
Bruce Timm, Jay Oliva, Geoff Johns, Mike Carlin and Peter Giraldi are all involved in bringing this short film into existence. The short will be debuting at San Diego Comic Con over the summer and more than likely be aired in NY that fall. The logo meanwhile, will be used by all Warner Bros. and DC divisions in Superman-related products and initiatives.
