Ukranian metal band Apostate has decided that they have had enough. They split-up in 1998, all members except Yuri Lesnyi formed Forgot Belief. In 1999 Yuri gathered new line-up and continued Apostate, but in 2001 the band finally disbanded and Yuri started pop-rock band called Neon. In January’2009 Oleksandr Kostko resurrected Apostate. However, again they have decided that the long sporadic project just ins’t cutting it.
The band has gone on record stating,
“I think most of you have already found out or guessed this by now. Apostate is officially over. I don’t think it is necessary to describe how much these 5 years meant to us.

“We are proud of everything we accomplished and we are thankful to everyone who has been with us during this time. Big love goes out to our manager Damian Ekman, who showed the world to us and, hopefully, showed us to at least a tiny part of it.

“However, this end is the beginning of something new. Something bigger. Fedor & Nikki are working on a new project at the moment, that is currently in its final stage before the launch.

“We are currently preparing a video for the first single of the project, however we are in a difficult financial situation and cannot afford to pull this off completely by ourselves. That’s why we are selling these exclusive limited edition Apostate wooden boxes that includes our last EP ‘A A O’, t-shirt and flash drive with every release in our history…”

The bands accomplishments included:
Consign to Oblivion Demo 1995
A Song of the Dead Lake EP 1997
From Consign to Oblivion to a Song of the Dead Lake 2007
Trapped in a Sleep Full-length 2011
