Ukrainian folk industrial metal with German war themes. You following me ? Oh ! & with black metal vocals occasionally. This is their second full length album & since their first release it seems they’ve fallen right into their groove. They claim to be a non political band, so I’m sure the lyrical content & artwork is just story telling.
I’m adding the folk to their description mainly because of the lyrical content & short bursts of folk music throughout the album, but its not quite in the same vein as other Eastern European folk & pagan metal bands, with the exception of the song “Смерть не роз’єднає нас [Death Won’t Separate Us],” reminds me of Pagan Reign. Which reminds me all their songs with Ukrainian titles are given a translation in parenthesis, unusual for Eastern Euro bands.
Some songs are very electro sounding, some a bit more death metal, we’ve got a few guitar solos, but every song extremely powerful. I think this will please fans of multiple sub-sub-sub-genres of metal. Very modern sounding, heavy, aggressive & kind of interesting.
This album is out now through Svarga Music.
