This is the very long awaited follow up to their 2005 album In the Arms of God that I know will please their day one fans as well as new listeners. What a great way to get a kid into punk, thrash & southern metal. They’ve gotten back to their roots a bit with some seriously charged punk anthems like the song “Leeches.” C.O.C. is just as aggressive as they were 30 years, which is extremely impressive. We’ve seen bands lose their edge after two albums, but C.O.C keeps it the fucking coming A lot of punk, a lot of Southern metal & a lot of anger. I’m having a hard time saying its their best work, but it just might be. I don’t want to say they have proven themselves to still be relevant because they’re the same band they’ve always bee, I don’t feel they’ve left.
This album is available now through Candlelight Records.
