So, last month, Metallica made some noise with their announcement of a 2 day festival they will host out in the boonies of Atlantic City. Called the Orion Festival, the band announced an array of bands that they said was “music they like”. Avenged Sevenfold, The Sword, Modest Mouse, Hot Snakes and Gary Clark Jr. were all announced as part of this fest. (Not the heaviest line up ever…huh) So it seems the band took some slack and came back with an addition to the festival, A LITTLE MORE METAL PLEASE!!! It was just announced that a second stage “The Damage, Inc. Stage will now include Sepultura, Suicidal Tendencies, Red Fang and more. Read the official press release below..

Metallica, in conjunction with friends C3 Presents, today announced line up additions for Orion Music + More, the two day festival created by Metallica that will take place on June 23rd and 24th at Bader Field in Atlantic City, NJ.

Eric Church, The Jim Breuer Heavy Metal Comedy Tour, Soul Rebels, Wooden Shjips, and an entire stage devoted to punk and thrash music – Damage Inc. Stage – headlined by Suicidal Tendencies and Sepultura, and featuring up-and-comers Torche, Red Fang, Kyng, Landmine Marathon, Black Tusk, Thy Will Be Done, and more.  They join the previously announced line up of Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse, The Gaslight Anthem, Cage The Elephant, Fucked Up, Best Coast, Hot Snakes, Titus Andronicus, Gary Clark Jr., Lucero, Roky Erickson, The Black Angels, The Sword, A Place To Bury Strangers, and Liturgy.

Orion Music + More will feature multiple live music stages plus a lifestyle element that reflects each of Metallica’s band members many personal interests.  Metallica will headline both nights of Orion Music + More and play “The Black Album” in its entirety one night Ride The Lightning in its entirety the other.  This will be the only time the band will perform these albums in North America in 2012.

Orion Music + More has also just launched a complete website where fans are able to explore the full Orion Music + More Line-up by clicking any band name for a bio, video, streaming music and more.  They will also be able to use the Custom Scheduler to make their own personalized line-up.
