» Blog Archive Geoff Johns Reveals Another of Aquaman's "Other" League -
Papa_Jor-El Comic Book News, News

As of late, DC’s The Source blog has been a big source for character designs. First we got a look at many members of the Court of Owls and now, we’re being shown a different team. Aquaman has been one of the break out characters in the New 52 and Geoff Johns, writer of the book and of Justice League also starring Aquaman, is not done by any means. Ramping up to what looks like it will be an epic story line, Johns had this to say about the latest character design. “When Ivan, Joe and I spoke about Prisoner-Of-War with our editor Pat McCallum we went back and forth quite a bit. We wanted this soldier, this man who was held captive for years and the only survivor of his squad, to be and feel like a faceless victim of war. One who was now fighting for his freedom and identity. But his identity is clouded by the mysterious powers he gained after his fellow soldiers were killed. The shackles he wears are golden like Aquaman’s trident, but a source of another power. When we meet Prisoner-Of-War he is a far cry from the man he once was…or will be.”
