DC released a list earlier today of several properties coming to the trade market in late 2012. It’s a doozie! DC is planning some obvious releases like War Of The Green Lanterns and Brightest Day. They also plan to release a super omnibus of 52. Also, DC seems to be digging into the vault with some for some really cool stuff. Take a look below…
Atlantic recording group Shinedown has announced plans to headline this year’s eagerly awaited Avalanche Tour. The North American trek – presented by Zippo and produced by Synergy Global Entertainment, Inc. – gets underway on March 27th at The Grove in Anaheim, California and then continues through late April (see attached itinerary). Accompanying Shinedown on the 2012 Avalanche Tour will be Adelita’s Way, with additional support from New Medicine (March 27th – April 10th) and Art of Dying (April 12th – April 25 th).
MPENDING DOOM has released more details surrounding their release “Baptized in Flith.” The cover art, seen above is explained by Bassist David Sittig, “Baptized in filth represents the mindless indulgance and self worship in the vile world we live in. This album is meant to scare the hell out of you!”
n late March/early April, Metal Mind Productions will release second live DVD by Believe – an outstanding art-rock act formed by the guitarist Mirek Gil – the former leader and composer of Polish prog-rock legend Collage. The material entitled “Seeing Is Believing” was recorded in November 2011 in Wyspianski Theatre in Katowice, Poland. During this unique evening Believe primarily presented material from their most recent studio album „World Is Round” (Metal Mind Productions, 2010).
Death metal overlords CANNIBAL CORPSE will unearth their twelfth slab of audio devastation to North American fans on March 13, 2012 via Metal Blade Records. Listed among Decibel Magazine’s “Top 25 Most Anticipated Extreme Records Of 2012,” the aptly titled Torture was again produced by Hate Eternal’s Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the goretorn cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist, Vincent Locke. In 1977, movie goers every where were exposed to what might be the greatest sci-fi film to ever be released….STAR WARS. The “epicness” of that film, and its subsequent sequels have entertained fans for generations. But, 2 years later, it was another film released that year that would shake the genre to it’s core. Alien would come upon the cinema world and would meld the world of science fiction and horror. Alien was like nothing anyone had ever seen before. The sheer terror of the alien face huggers, the mystery of the derelict ship and the chest popper was more than some people could take.
Newly solo iconic musician and evil disco king Wayne Static embarked on a US tour last night in Farmington, New Mexico. The tour crosses the nation and currently wraps up on February 25, 2012 in Window Rock, Arizona. Polkadot Cadaver and Defiler (starting Feb. 6) will also be performing on the upcoming shows.
