Metallica has partnered with leading charity auction site charitybuzz.com to auction a signed and personalized guitar from the legendary band to raise funds for J/P HRO.

The guitar is an ESP Ltd. Viper with high gloss red wood grain finish and custom ESP pick-ups signed by all four members of Metallica. Lars Ulrich will customize it with the winner’s name, favorite Metallica song – whatever they want!

The guitar, valued at $10,000, will raise funds for J/P Hatian Relief Organization (J/P HRO), a nonprofit founded by Sean Penn to rebuild the infrustructure destroyed by the earthquake and combat the poverty that the majority of Haitians are facing. The two year annivesary of the Haitian tragedy was marked on January 12, 2012.
