CD copies of Forever the End will be available exclusively through the band when they strike out on a US tour this fall. “The round, unassuming sound washes over the listeners while still retaining the sharp attack of each note, preventing Atriarch’s masterpiece from becoming a boring, anticlimactic wall of fuzz.Atriarch is something new and and a definite breath of fresh air.”– The Inarguable Webzine

“The release keeps things varied with an array of textures which keeps the listener on edge. An intriguing sonically dark ritual that sounds like it was unearthed from some ancient crypt.” – Scum Feast  [5/5]

“An album that’s destined to have even the perkiest of weather girls chewing on their tongues, cutting their flesh and worshipping Satan.” – Decibelmagazine.com

“This is the stuff of overcast skies and bleak futures.  It’s slow driving and haunted forests, painstaking survival through decimating circumstance and a triumphant upheaval of metal standards.” Six Feet Under the Gun

“A dark, grief-stricken ensemble of songs that can satisfy even the darkest soul.” – Wicked Channel

“One of the freshest and striking albums released so far this year.” – Ring Master

“A towering, grief-stricken album, these four songs are able to balance a fierce rawness with swells of atmosphere that keep pushing songs forward without turning towards prissy symphonics.” [9/10] – Decibel

“This band combines doom metal, death rock & even hints of crust – into an intelligent soundscape.” – Cvlt Nation

“I would buy this.” – Buzz Osborne / Melvins

“The music is lo-fi and blackened. All at once it is both dreary and enlightening. This album truly is worth the praise. It’s ear candy for the chronically doomed.” – Metal Mark’s Heavy Metal Time Machine

“Forever the End  needs to be heard to be understood. The power is in the complete package of this band. They will leave you terrified or wanting and needing more like a musical drug….” – Absolute Zero

“This is a great disc.” – Metal Team UK

Hailing from Portland, OR, Atriarch features members of Graves At Sea, Trees, Final Conflict and Get Hustle. Vocalist Lenny Smith describes his Cascadian deathrock ensemble as “a living entity comprised of four parts, offering catharsis through sonic ritual where there is no god, there is no devil; there is an all encompassing force that connects all living things.”

Formed in 2009, Atriarch sought out to combine elements of goth and deathrock while making sure to keep it heavy. On Atriarch’s debut album, Forever the End, the band describes the lyrical themes as having an “aim to tear a hole in the veil that blinds us from our true selves.” When asked to further describe that which fuels his lyrics, Smith states: “We are bombarded with ideals of a superficial shallow lifestyle, in which we are enslaved to maintain. Greed corruption fear and hate is the true face of this Self Serving way of life that we have come to call normal. Lose yourself inside the ritual and the veil will come crashing down around us all. ”

Forever the End marks Seventh Rule Recording’s 23rd full-length release;

a number often graced within conspiracy theory.
