Having recently laid waste to the city of Baltimore at this year’s Maryland Death Fest, California-based death horde GRAVEHILL have now set their sights directly on Champaign/Urbana, IL when they bring their relentless death metal assault to the Central Illinois Metalfest. Known for their blood-filled visuals and scorching live performance, GRAVEHILL threatens to be the highlight of the fest when they take the stage on Saturday, July 23rd. Vocalist Mike Abominator comments,

“Illinois has become ONE of our 2nd homes, hahaha. The metal heads are sick as fuck over there and we give them bloody and infernal hails. We have been bugging the shit out of Matt and the CIM people for a few years now, to play this fest and they FINALLY gave in, hahaha. It is going to be killer to share the Canopy Club stage with the likes of CARDIAC ARREST, NUNSLAUGHTER, EXHUMED, ACHERON, INSANITY, HOD, DROGHEDA, MAAX, MORGUE SUPPLIER and the others that are set to devastate the place. We look forward to the blood and piss to be flowing like rivers. The city of Champaign will be left in shreds and it’s asshole will be annihilated! There will be no ‘fightin Illini’…… JUST DEATH FUCKING METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”   

This weekend will serve as a reunion of sorts for GRAVEHILL as they will meet up with bandmates Matt “Hellfiend” Harvey and Bodybag Bob, who are both currently out on the road with EXHUMED. Regarding Bodybag Bob’s involvement with EXHUMED, Abominator had this to say,

“Since Matt helped us in a pinch last year by joining the band, we have returned the favor by sending him our axe master Robert Michael Babcock “aka Bodybag Bob” to play the bass/gutteral vox in Exhumed on the latest U.S. Tour they are doing. Rob is just the latest in the long and strange line of California Mercenaries that have joined Matt on his quest for Gore Fucking Metal domination. We are proud of Rob joining our brothers on this trip and we wish them well on the trip of death through the U.S. Wastelands of Terror. I just saw the tour kick off show in San Diego this last Sunday night….. Prepare to meet your fucking maker motherfuckers!”   

GRAVEHILL released their latest slab of brutality, When All Roads Lead To Hell  on May 20th through Dark Descent Records with vinyl treatment coming soon courtesy of Dark Descent and Chaos Records. 2011has been a huge year for GRAVEHILL with the band dominating at MDF as well as sharing the stage with the likes of Destruction, Aura Noir and many more.
