Beyond the Gate brings a very interesting variety into the metal genre, with an Arabian-themed interlude in a couple of songs, allowing for a very relaxed tension throughout. This variety brings out a plethora of new sounds and themes within the album as a whole, but the great thing about it is that Wretched embodies this alteration to the genre, as it always has.
