Iron Maiden lashes out its two-disc album, From Fear to Eternity, consisting of the shredding band’s best hits from the span of two decades, from 1990-2010. The classic metal thrashing rhythm and drum beats pulsate through your veins as you begin to relive the era in which the band made its epic debut.

Iron Maiden has always been a personal favorite of mine, and I rocked on with every one of their songs, but this album truly captures the best of the best. It is a credit to Maiden’s most successful, captivating, astounding hits, and it’s a two-disc set you’d definitely want on constant repeat. Amazing songs such as “Fear of the Dark”, “Sign of the Cross”, “The Clansman” and “Man on the Edge” are featured in live performances, which only amplifies the essence of metal in the album. Every song is great and every song will have you headbanging for hours. The guitar riffs and vocal prowess is all still there, and in good combination of tracks from various albums.

From Fear to Eternity is one of those albums that every great band should put time into making. Iron Maiden always had amazing instrumentals, but in the album it feels like these are enhanced. Steve Harris’ bass sounds incredible in each track, along with Nicko McBrain’s mindblowing drumming pulsing through the speakers. It is no surprise that it sounds so incredible, but every aspect of the band’s skill is revealed and showcased in the album. Dave Murray’s shredding guitar solos and riffs still tear into your soul.

Overall, Iron Maiden’s new greatest hits album is exactly what the cover advertises. It is the best of the best. From Fear to Eternity provides a solid setlist of Maiden’s top songs and is a true compliment to the band’s legendary status in the history of metal music.
