So, those anticipated “major announcements” from Jim Lee and Geoff Johns at this years Hero Complex turned out to be alot of nothing! Seems that all the DC news that has been flooding the internet the last week (book cancelations, restarts for all DC major books, Superman and many DC characters getting reboots) was all that these two giants of the industry really talked about. So here is a recap of what was mentioned…

Grant Morrison and Rags Morales will lead the relaunch of Action Comics #1
Jim Lee and Geoff Johns will re imagine the Justice League comic book
Same day “Digital Comic Launch” for all the new books

So that really seems to be the highlight of the convention appearance. Strange for this panel to be happening at a movie convention. Many people were expecting major movie news from the top brass at DC Comics. Seems all these guys really talked about was what was already out on the internet this past week. It’s great for these two guys to talk about the new comic book relaunches and all, but discussing this at a movie convention? Then giving everyone the sense that “Major News” was coming from this appearance. Sounds a little strange to me!
