Joe Shithead Keithley’s new book Talk – Action = 0: An Illustrated History of D.O.A. is OUT NOW! Published by Arsenal Pulp Press, this 300 page punk rock opus from the Hemingway of hemorrhoids takes you through the entire history of D.O.A. It’s chocked full of posters, photos, album and single covers, lyrics, illustrations, comics, t shirts and stickers. Joe takes you through D.O.A.’s rough and rocky road of punk, politics, troubles, activism and plain ol’ fun with his hilarious and poignant style of writing that ties together this unique and uplifting tome. June 4th at The Rickshaw Theatre, Vancouver, BC is the release party for the new book. Come on down between 8 PM and 9 PM to get a copy and Shithead will sign it for you. Then starting at 9 PM, the show takes off with an unplugged Rich Hope, The Jolts, then a rare and special performance by Calgary’s powerful Knucklehead. Then to top off the evening, Canada’s punk legends D.O.A. will perform, to be joined by secret musical guests along the way!

Sudden Death is pleased to announce the 30th Anniversary re-issues of D.O.A.’s first two classic albums: Something Better Change and Hardcore 81. AMP magazine calls them “Two of the top five Canadians punk albums of all time.” Something Better Change is out on limited edition translucent 12″ green vinyl and comes with faithful reproductions of the original lyric sheet and band photo book. The CD version has a 12 page booklet full of photos and old school posters. Hardcore 81, considered to be the album that started “hardcore’ comes in limited edition blue vinyl and includes a great reproduction of the original 22″ x 33″ poster.
