Artery Recordings has announced the signing of Attila to the label. The self-proclaimed “Atlanta party metal” band hail from, yes, Atlanta, GA and mesh “”their party attitude with death metal riffage and massive breakdown after breakdown. Speaking on their sound the band said “Our aim is to create heavy music that is extremely fun to listen to, and even more fun to enjoy at a live concert. Every show is a party, and we encourage our fans to get on stage, hang from rafters, crowd surf, head-walk, stage dive, and take the the mic.
Speaking on the band, Mike Milford of Artery Recordings said “We first heard of Attila through the band’s close friends (and now Artery Recordings label-mates), Chelsea Grin. We checked the band out on the ’Grand Slam’ tour with Chelsea Grin and the energy the band brought to the venue was intense. We instantly formed a working management relationship with them and it just seemed right to bring them to Artery Recordings.” The band are about to enter the studio in Portland, OR with Producer Stephen Hawkes (Burning the Masses, American Me) to begin work on their Artery debut to be released this summer. Speaking on the upcoming album, the band commented, “The album title is Rage. The word “rage” has multiple meanings, ranging from a state of anger to the slang term for a crazy party. The lyrics cover both.”
Attila formed in 2005 and have released two previous albums: Fallacy and Soundtrack To A Party. The band members range in age from 17-22 and recently, lead singer Fronz hilariously requested to be made into a male model, and so was featured in an episode of MTV’s MADE. Attila have previously toured with Arsonists Get All The Girls, See You Next Tuesday, American Me, Dr. Acula, Chelsea Grin, Within The Ruins and We Are The End. Theywill be hitting Europe with Hed P.E. and Threat Signal from March 3rd to April 10th, and catch them back in the US this summer. Dates are below.
Artery Recordings is the label home to The Artery Foundation and is an imprint of world power independent label Razor & Tie, who’s first two releases will be from Chelsea Grin and Bury Tomorrow. A management company since 2004, the Foundation have a knack for finding diamonds in the rough and nurturing them into worldwide prominence.
