Danish metal quartet Volbeat will release their major label debut BEYOND HELL / ABOVE HEAVEN digitally on November 9th via Universal Republic in the U.S.  A physical release will follow on December 14, 2010.  Overseas, the album debuted at number one on the sales charts in Denmark, Finland and Sweden, and Top 10 in a half dozen additional countries.  Since release, the album has sold over 200,000 copies.

  Over the course of the last month it’s been revealed that two of the founding members of Misery Signals have announced that they are not going to continue performing with the band. Lambgoat.com recently reported that guitar player and long time member, Stu Ross, has left the band. Ross stated, “The guys in Misery Signals are and will continue to be four of my best friends” he explains, “I just got tired of being in a metal band.”

Veteran Christian metal act, Living Sacrifice, has announced a November 30th release date for a special iTunes exclusive deluxe edition of the band’s latest full-length record, The Infinite Order (Solid State Records).  The forthcoming deluxe edition will contain a 30-minute, eight-song, DVD quality video and three bonus tracks, including the unreleased song, “Glasshouses”.

The band, which Zero Tolerance magazine called a “venomous explosion of black, death and thrash metal fury” has been hard at work on the follow up to last year’s well-received Serpent. American dark metal pioneers Novembers Doom have commenced recording of their 8th full length studio album, entitled Aphotic. The album is set to be released on The End Records in Spring 2011. Aphotic is being recorded at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin with longtime Novembers Doom collaborators Chris Wisco at the controls and Dan Swano mixing.
