Serbian melodic black/death metal heavyweights BANE have announced a series of live dates for the fall of 2011 in support of their latest release, Chaos, Emptiness & Darkness. Released earlier this year on Abyss Records, Chaos, Emptiness & Darkness has been heralded as one of Europe’s finest metallic exports. Plans are in place for a follow up to be released next year.

The previously-announced second leg of the Kyuss Lives! North American tour dates this November, featuring BLACK COBRA and The Sword in support, has just expanded to include five brand additional dates including Los Angeles at the beginning of the tour, and four new East Coast shows at the end of the tour (Baltimore, MD, New Haven, CT, Huntington, NY, Montclair, NJ).

CHICKENFOOT – the supergroup featuring guitarist Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and frontman Sammy Hagar – have announced “The 2011 Road Test Tour,” the first live performance dates in support of the band’s forthcoming “CHICKENFOOT III” due September 27th from from eOne Music in North America and around the world by earMUSIC/Edel.

Chicago grinders HARPOON entered Bricktop Recording in June of this year to record their sophomore record Deception Among Birds. Debuting in the Top 10 for the second consecutive time, The Devil Wears Prada sees Dead Throne (Ferret), the band’s first full-length album since 2009, claiming the #10 spot on next week’s Billboard Top 200 Albums chart with more than 32,400 copies sold, an impressive jump from the 25,000 copies their last release brought to its first chart appearance.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 – Worship Music, (Megaforce) Anthrax’s first studio album in eight years and its first with vocalist Joey Belladonna since 1990’s Persistence of Time, blasts onto next week’s Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #12, the band’s highest chart debut in two decades, and second-highest in its career, selling 28,500 copies.
