As regular readers of these collected editions will know, I sketch out pretty much all of the cover roughs for this series in my notebook at the start of the creative process. Here are the last of those scribbled ideas, alongside the polished, professional finished versions by Frank Quitely.  

While those of us who are left behind are facing whatever this “apocalypse” may mean, I did want to say a little farewell to someone who meant a lot to me as a kid. It’s not my usual comic agenda, but please read along as I bid a fond adieu to perhaps the only straight man who could get away with all of that spandex, fringe and bedazzled clothing.

Stepping up to the plate is fan-favorite creator Jeff Lemire, whose miniseries FLASHPOINT: FRANKENSTEIN & THE CREATURES OF THE UNKNOWN sets the legendary monster in the heart of World War II.  

DYING FETUS will release a limited edition mini-LP this summer. The mini-LP, History Repeats…, marks the band’s 20th anniversary and sees them covering tracks from bands who have influenced them (NAPALM DEATH, BOLT THROWER, CANNIBAL CORPSE, PESTILENCE, etc.)
