Another great drop this week, in the vein of traditional metal or even New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), The Cult of the Vestal Claret, by the titular Vestal Claret, is repping the old school styles pretty hard. You have great base to build off, and they have that old rocking metal sound, with a doom and gloom message about that old tyme religion, devil worship. Fuzzy, dirty, and easy to remember. What’s not to love?!

Detroit metal squad BATTLECROSS just launched three new live bootlegs! POV Recordings recently shot and edited live videos of “Flesh & Bone,” “Never Coming Back” and “Kaleb” from the band’s show at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, North Carolina. The videos can be seen on the Metal Blade Records, BATTLECROSS, and POV Recordings YouTube channels.

Italy’s FATHER MURPHY is currently en route to the East Coast where they’ll spread their eccentric and diseased hymns across North America on an epic month-long journey, with additional rituals recently added in Washington, DC, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Albany. The trek includes a live appearance on June 19th at WFMU in Jersey City, New Jersey.
