Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of Necromancing the Stone! Featuring former and current members of Arsis, The Absence, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Brimstone Coven, Necromancing the Stone may be considered a “supergroup” or “studio project” by some, but that is not the intent of this quintet. Upon unleashing their upcoming debut full-length in 2016 via Metal Blade, the band plans to take their unique brand of no-nonsense, traditional heavy metal out on the road.

FATES WARNING will kick off their US Tour tonight in Hartford, CT and runs through November 2nd in Ramona, CA. The fourth installment of the annual SOUTHWEST TERROR FEST takes over Tucson, Arizona in just one week, with four days of live mayhem running from October 15th through 18th. Festival enthusiasts at Cvlt Nation have hosted a mixtape with a ton of free music streaming in advance of the melee, organized by the festival promoters.  

Chicago’s IMMORTAL BIRD will kick off their headlining takeover next week. The Humans comic, by Keenan Marshall Keller and Tom Neely, is set in the ’70s and follows a motorcycle gang’s exploits, but with a twist; in this world, the gangs are all apes and actual humans are primitive beasts kept around for sport.
