Shocking as it may be, I have not always been spending my days listening to black metal and complaining about it on the internet. There was that time period where I first listened to De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas and had to go through “black metal 101” so I could try to understand the genre. One thing led to another, and in the process of disappointing everyone around me, I became enamored with the genre more than I care to admit. (Sorry mom) Around this time of black metal integration, (Give or take back in 2009) Dark Funeral’s video for “My Funeral” found its way onto my computer. It was pure, in a way, with how straightforward it was, yet leagues ahead of those try-hards that were attempting the same exact...

Wyoming based Hard Rock quintet RIGHTEOUS VENDETTA are proud to announce that they have signed with Another Century Records. The band is currently in the studio with producer Mitchell Marlow (In This Moment, Stitched Up Heart, He Is Legend) working on their debut full length for Another Century. In addition to this, the band will also be joining their new label-mates LIKE A STORM for a handful of tour dates this summer, which can be found below.

Abbath went on to perform in a new band under the same name, and released the self-titled album earlier this year, but the Immortal camp has been quiet. Until now, at least.

Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of legendary hard rock / doom metal band THE OBSESSED! Formed in 1976 by Scott “Wino” Weinrich (Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan, Shrinebuilder, Probot etc.), the band recently reformed and are on the road now!
