“Another year, another Star Wars movie” is something I’m going to have to get used to saying. After Episode VII did pretty good at the box office last holiday season, the already-planned Rogue One: A Star Wars Story guaranteed fans that the franchise’s new home at Disney was going to put love and care into each of the installments that they had planned up until at least 2020. Rogue One serves as the first in an anthology series, in which the film details how the Rebels came to have the plans for the Death Star in the first place. So, that begs the question: is this a path worth traveling?

Marvel and Funko have collaborated to create the first-ever Funko animated shorts and the final, Chimichangas, was released today! There are three Marvel Funko animated shorts in total and each one is ninety seconds in length. Featuring some of Marvel’s most popular Super Heroes and Villains, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Loki, Rocket, Groot, the Collector, Deadpool, and Venom, all three Marvel Funko animated shorts are AVAILABLE NOW on the Marvel YouTube page.

Brian Wood (Briggs Land, DMZ) scripts the series, Andrea Mutti (Rebels, Prometheus: Life and Death) showcases his illustrative prowess, and Lauren Affe (The Paybacks, Ghost Fleet) colors the art. Matthew Taylor (Arcadia, Wolf) creates the beautiful cover art for all eight issues.
