DD VERNI & THE CADILLAC BAND have today (August 22) released the second single “Two Of A Kind” from their upcoming album BUCKLE UP, which marries rock ‘n roll’s visceral energy and succinct songwriting to suave, swinging throwback arrangements and aesthetics.  “Two Of A Kind” notably features the Reverend Horton Heat’s Jim Heath. The song, written by Walden Cassotto and Johnny Mercer, was originally featured on Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer’s 1961 Two of a Kind album. “Predator: Badlands,” the thrilling new entry in the “Predator” film franchise, arrives in theaters on November 7. That same month, Marvel Comics will publish PREDATOR: BADLANDS #1, a tie-in comic by writer Ethan Sacks, known for his stellar work on Marvel’s Star Wars titles, and, in his Marvel Comics debut, artist Elvin Ching, a promising recent participant of Marvel’s Art Atelier program. Serving as the official prelude to the highly anticipated film, the one-shot is being produced in close collaboration with director Dan Trachtenberg, who will also write a foreword for the issue.  

NECROT will return to stages this Fall on a short run of headlining shows next month before joining Carcass on their North American Putrefaction 2025 Tour with additional support from Brujeria and Hedonist. NECROT’s journey begins on September 12th in Reno, Nevada and runs through October 1st in Los Angeles, California.  

Canadian heavy music pioneers Kittie mark a quarter-century milestone with the announcement of Spit XXV, a four-track EP celebrating the 25th anniversary of their gold-certified debut album. The collection features freshly updated and re-recorded versions of four of the albums biggest tracks, “Brackish,” “Charlotte,” “Do You Think I’m A Whore” and the title track “Spit ,” all produced, once again, by Garth Richardson who helmed the original 1999 sessions at EMAC Studios.  

Marvel Comics celebrates Native American Heritage Month this year by spotlighting one of its premier Native American super heroes, Cheyenne and Mexican American warrior ECHO, in ECHO: SEEKER OF TRUTH, a Marvel’s Voices special co-written by Jimmy “Taboo” Gomez, Black Eyed Peas member and host of the new Comics and Kicks podcast, and B. Earl. The writing duo behind the upcoming Ultimate Hawkeye one-shot, Taboo and B. Earl previously penned the hero in 2023’s Daredevil & Echo limited series. ECHO: SEEKER OF TRUTH #1 will be drawn by artist Jim Terry and feature a stunning cover by the character’s co-creator, superstar artist David Mack.
