Faroe Islands-based folk metal collective TÝR will kick of their North American tour supporting power metal veterans Demons & Wizards this week. Set to commence on August 17th in Los Angeles California, the journey will wind its way through twelve cities and come to a close September 5th in New York City. Savannah, GA sludge rockers BLACK TUSK will be embarking on a U.S. tour this fall with support from CHILD BITE. The trek will kick off on November 8 in Asheville, NC and will conclude on November 16 in Wilmington, NC. US metal act Silvertomb have signed an international record deal with German independent label Long Branch Records / SPV.Formed in the wake of Type O Negative and Seventh Void, Silvertomb is the latest musical endeavor of Kenny Hickey (Type O Negative, Seventh Void), Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Danzig) and Hank Hell (Seventh Void, Inhuman). This time teaming up with New York Hardcore Veteran Joseph James (Agnostic Front, Inhuman) and Aaron Joos (Awaken The Shadow, Empyreon), combining musical styles such as Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath into a bone crushing, mind blowing, sonic journey into the underbelly of human emotion.
GRAMMY-winning Swedish rock band GHOST is known for special, limited edition items that have been tied to its various album releases – an 8-track edition of Ceremony & Devotion, and for Prequelle, a 7-inch die-cut-as-rats vinyl disc of the album’s first single “Rats,” offering the album on a variety of different colored cassette tapes, and the lenticular cover for Prequelle‘s special vinyl edition as well as five alternate covers for the retail edition.
This September, NYC-based artist Arsun will embark on an east coast tour opening for Cat Power (tour dates below). With a sound beyond his 20 years, Arsun recently released his debut EP Send Her My Way to acclaim from i-D and HERO, who called it “multifaceted, simplistic, and embodying real artistic confidence.”

After a a 5 year absence, the band is back with Pulse?, their second full-length for Unspeakable Axe Records, and third overall. Pulse? features 11 brand new tracks, along with a blistering cover of Sepultura’s “Dead Embryonic Cells.”
Southern rock outfit BASK, whose Americana sound contains a unique blend of psych and prog influences, have announced a run of East Coast headlining dates later this month! The tour, which features an appearance at RPM Fest in Montague, MA on August 30, will kick off on August 26 in Richmond, VA and will conclude on September 1 in Harrisonburg, VA.
