The band’s veteran sound is unheard of for a group that’s been playing music together for under a year. They created an initial buzz with the release of their first song “Evolution; The Beholder” on 2/10/10, which drew an unprecedented amount of excitement toward the new project.
If Swedish melodic death metal had an American godfather, Darkest Hour would be the incumbent. Although they’ve spent years being grouped with Metalcore bands, they stand tall as a solid American variation on a well established sub genre. This past Saturday night at New York’s Gramercy Theatre, along with Veil of Maya and Periphery, Darkest Hour played a show to remember.
In the wake of their critically lauded new album Death Potion, New York thrash metallers Early Man have announced the “Worst Music Video Contest.” The band is inviting the public to create the most cringe-inducing music video humanly possible for the song “Fight.” The song, which appears on Death Potion, is also up for download on the contest site, where the guidelines are clearly outlined.
Eulogy Recordings is very proud to announce the signing of Nightlights. Nightlights is a punk rock band from central Florida. Shortly after coming together in the fall of 2009, the band released their first demo with Sp Records, Japan and Gruff Beard Records. After teaming up with Anchorless Records and Get Outta Town Records, the quartet released the Long Way Home Ep on June 1, 2010. Nightlights has been featured in AMP Magazine as well.
