As I approached the box office for Dance Gavin Dance’s show in New York, I heard from the customer next to me that the show had completely sold out. Look back a few years ago and Dance Gavin Dance were just introducing clean vocalist Tilian Pearson into the band, and now they’re selling out one of the larger venues in NYC. Ain’t that something. Back when the mallcore/Warped Tour band phase was sweeping America circa 2010/11-ish, Dance Gavin Dance were thrown around in that scene quite frequently. There was always something off about the experimental post-hardcore act, but Dance Gavin Dance stood out, if for any reason being their non-compliance with the trend that was going on. Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy announce North American tour today supporting Amon Amarth. The massive tour starts on September 26th in Seattle, WA and wraps on October 26th in Los Angeles. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets on Tuesday, April 16th via Amon Amarth and Citi pre-sale starting at 10AM. Ticketmaster, Live Nation, venue, radio, and Blabbermouth (password BLABBER) pre-sales will be available on Wednesday, April 17th starting at 10AM. Finally, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 19th at 10AM.

In recognition of the forthcoming re-issue of THE CULT’s multi-platinum-selling Sonic Temple album on Beggars Banquet Records, the British group that’s led by Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy will embark on select dates in North America and the UK starting May 2 in Houston, TX (itinerary below).
