MORTIIS comments on the single, “For some reason the word ‘Tundra’ has been a recurring word in my life, and I attached it to various songs and lyrics over time, though very few ever came to any sort of fruition. In fact, the earliest versions of this song was called ‘Tundra’ or even ‘Thundra’ (because it sounded cooler) before I decided to add ‘Heart Of Hell’ to add some context. A big chunk of these lyrics also harken back to the time between ‘The Stargate’ and ‘The Smell Of Rain.'”
