American Sharks have announced a new string of East Coast tour dates, beginning August 8 with a sold out boat party in their native Austin, Texas.

American Sharks is comprised of Mike Hardin (bass/vocals), Will Ellis (guitars), and Nick Cornetti (drums). Since forming in 2012, the band has toured extensively, playing over 200 shows a year with Clutch, Gwar, Red Fang, The Sword, Big Business, and more. Says Ellis, “We took a break from touring and it sucked so we’re back on the road again hashing out new songs before we hit the studio. We are bringing our Austin buddies Hundred Visions with us in exchange for weed and gas money…it’s going to be a sick trip!”

American Sharks debut self-titled full-length album was recorded in Austin over the span of just four days and was released in the U.S. in November of 2013.

Vice’s Noisey described their album as “a weekend-long party stuffed into 9 songs, with chunks of fuzz-punk being puked onto your shoes at all times.” Punknews declared “Their self-titled debut is driving, heavy and above all, fun as hell.” Diffuser praised them saying “American Sharks are creating some of the grittiest, rawest and realest rock and roll we’ve heard in a very long time.”

​Following this tour, American Sharks will return to Austin to record their second studio album. A Spring 2016 release date is expected.
