DC Entertainment’s creator-driven imprint, Vertigo, kicked off Comic-Con: International: San Diego with an impressive Fall slate consisting of 12 new #1s set to release over 12 consecutive weeks beginning in October. The announcement came on their panel Thursday evening when comic book and literary heavyweights joined the ranks including Darwyn Cooke, Gilbert Hernandez, Michael Allred, Holly Black, Lauren Beukes and Gail Simone, among others.
On July 9th at Comic-Con International: San Diego, MAD Magazine Editor in Chief John Ficarra delighted longtime fans with the announcement of Spy vs. Spy: An Explosive Celebration. The newest Spy installment will feature 150 Spy vs. Spy adventures, presented for the first time in full color, Spy vs. Spy trivia and stats and an appreciation and selection of strips by long-time Spy vs. Spy artist Peter Kuper.

As the next chapter in Relapse Records’ ongoing 25th anniversary commemoration, heavy music visionaries NEUROSIS will have two of their most revered and long out-of-print titles reissued on super deluxe 180-gram double vinyl this fall. Through Silver in Blood (1996), which Fact Magazine recently deemed the #1 best post-metal album of all time, has not been printed on vinyl in ten years, while Times of Grace (1999) is seeing its first pressing in over fifteen years. Additionally, Grace, the 1999 Tribes of Neurot companion piece to Times of Grace, will also see a deluxe Relapse reissue, its first time ever on vinyl.
ESPN The Magazine presents Marvel Comics’ pantheon of heroes in a way they have never been seen before – in a special insert inside the magazine’s annual Body Issue on newsstands Friday, July 10th. The custom edition, entitled The Body Issue: Super Heroes Edition will feature Iron Man, She-Hulk, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Medusa, Hulk, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
