Cartoonist Otis Frampton brings to life the world of ODDLY NORMAL. Oddly’s life is an unhappy blend of the magic and mortal worlds, but just when she thought life couldn’t get anymore miserable, one innocent wish throws her life asunder. With her safety abruptly thrown into great peril Oddly must travel to the land of Fignation to try to save her family and get back the life she took for granted.  

New wave of British heavy metal and thrash legends RAVEN have confirmed that they will be touring North America this fall as part of the “North American Extermination Tour 2014”. It was recently announced that RAVEN has signed a worldwide deal with SPV/Steamhammer and their new studio album and follow up to Walk Through Fire is set for a release in February 2015.  

Multi-platinum rock band Avenged Sevenfold’s highly anticipated release, Waking The Fallen: Resurrected, is available today via Hopeless Records. Personally curated by the band, the release is a rare, never before seen look at their genre defining, seminal album Waking The Fallen. The new three-disc set includes the original studio album, new artwork, 11 previously unreleased b-sides, live and alternate versions of songs, three music videos and a 30 minute documentary with never before seen live footage from some of the band’s earliest shows.  

The word just came in – John 5’s new release, CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE on 60 Cycle Hum Records – Just charted #50 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” Chart. Released digitally on August 12, “Careful With That Axe” is John 5’s eighth solo album and features drummer Rodger Carter and bassist Matt Bissonette.

Global rock juggernauts Slipknot have announced the next phase of their uncompromising history -– the release of “.5: The Gray Chapter” – the fifth studio album from the GRAMMY®-winning group – arrives on October 21ST , while their North American “Prepare For Hell” tour is set to kick off immediately following the band’s previously announced Knotfest (October 24-26th).  

Massachusetts metal band Shadows Fall will embark on their final European tour in less than a week. The “Hell on Earth” tour will begin in Frankfurt, Germany on Aug. 29 and runs until Sept. 14. The tour also features Unearth, The Acacia Strain and War of Ages. The band has been touring non-stop for over a decade and has decided that it’s time to “take a hiatus” from future extensive touring.

WAYNE STATIC the founding member and leader of Evil Disco innovators Static-X will be hitting the road this fall on a co-headline run with Powerman 5000. American Head Charge will provide support on most dates. The tour will kick off November 6th in Waterloo, IA and is currently scheduled to run through November 30th in McCallen, TX. This past weekend, the 4B Wild West Biker Rally to Fuck Cancer 2014 happened! Along with several sketchy vendors, bike shops, sketchier attendees, and several more sex toys than one would think out in the open, Metal Machine was pleased to witness the stage stylings of Warrant (fronted by Robert Mason), LA Guns, Drowning Pool, and some band with the Redneck Nation in the title. It was Texas Country, so no loss. On to the review!!!!!
