A futuristic online series, where the human race is hardwired to the Internet, is coming this summer.  From producer Bryan Singer (“The Usual Suspects” / “X-Men: First Class”), the highly anticipated live-action web series “H+ The Digital Series” will make its debut August 8 on YouTube.  Directed by Stewart Hendler (“Sorority Row”), and starring an acclaimed international cast that includes Alexis Denisof (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Amir Arison (“Law & Order: SVU ) and David Clayton Rogers (“Jane By Design”), “H+ The Digital Series” takes viewers on an episodic, apocalyptic journey where technology has gone horrifically wrong.

Connecticut started out the holiday with a bang on July 3, playing to a sold out crowd at the Oakdale Theater. People came out early to catch openers Adelitas Way, who came on stage early and played a too short set of 5 songs. They opened up with The Collapse off of their most recent release, Home School Valedictorian. The rest of their set featured songs from the new album. Singer Rick DeJesus performed as he would a headlining show. He gave to the audience what he got–a lot of energy. Following their set the band headed to the merch booth to take pictures and sign autographs for a seemingly endless line of fans, both old and new. Illinois-based Vikings thrashers THE HORDE have officially signed with Abyss Records for the follow-up for the release to 2011’s Thy Blackened Reign. Guitarist Tim Matthews comments, “The HORDE are thrilled to have signed with ABYSS Records.  This is a match made in Valhalla as they will suit up in their armor and go to war with us as we ride into the flames of battle! We are currently working on our third album, which has the working title Destroyer… Slayer of Men.  Some song titles are “Pray Hater”, “10,000 Strong” and “Firevurm”.  Will be entering Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, IL at some point this winter to record with Scott Creekmore.” THE...

Finnish black metal act CAVUS has started laying down the tracks for the follow-up to their debut full-length Fester and Putrefy. The yet untitled album will feature songs like “The Art of Blood Purging” and “Unholy Water” and is being recorded in the band’s own studio in Finland. “The band just purchased some rats and locusts to roam their premises to advance the vile surroundings of their studio,” says vocalist W. “The old wooden building is condemned to be demolished in the near future so it will be the last album CAVUS records at the place simply known as “The Lair.”
