To celebrate the release of Soulcalibur V for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Katana-wielding  Mitsurugi and sword-fighting Pyrrha have been engraved in granite on a mountain in Tanum, Sweden. The creators describe this game as tougher than anything that has gone before it – and have cut the two characters into the Earth to prove it. “Everyone knows the Soulcalibur characters are among the hardest fighters in gaming – so we’ve decided to immortalize them in granite for thousands of years” says Lee Kirton, marketing director, Namco Bandai. “These characters have only ever existed digitally, so it’s brilliant to record them permanently in a format which will remain visible until the end of time.” Master... 

Why Before Watchmen? Why continue to malign a masterpiece that already has somewhat been through the ringer? (Watchmen the movie anyone?) Unless you were living under a rock, that was under another rock, next to ….well you know what I mean, DC officially announced yesterday that they would be releasing a series of books called Before Watchmen. Seems the new creative/executive teams up at DC Entertainment are really trying to leave their mark. As any good corporation should do, their #1 goal is to make money for the share holders, that’s it… lock stock and barrel.  

As the news was breaking that DC Entertainment would be releasing Before Watchmen, a series of prequels involving the characters of the famed Watchmen Comics and graphic novel. Well, for those that didn’t see the cover shots, here you go…

Wretched ha entrado en el estudio para registrar su tercer álbum integral, hijo de la perdición. El esfuerzo próximo se fija para un lanzamiento del 27 de marzo y será producido por el Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, He Is Legend, For Today) en el estudio del sótano en Winston Salem, Carolina del Norte. el año pasado, desgraciada solidificó su formación con la adición de los industria-veteranos Adán Cody (Glass Casket) y Andrew Grevey (Loculus) que toma las posiciones del vocalista y del bajista, respectivamente. El Hijo de la Perdición marca los primeros aspectos oficiales por Cody y Grevey puesto que su inicio en banda de Wretched.

Wretched has entered the studio to record their third full-length album, Son of Perdition. The forthcoming effort is set for a March 27 release and will be produced by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, He Is Legend, For Today) at The Basement Studio in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
