Wednesday, September 21, 2011 – Worship Music, (Megaforce) Anthrax’s first studio album in eight years and its first with vocalist Joey Belladonna since 1990’s Persistence of Time, blasts onto next week’s Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #12, the band’s highest chart debut in two decades, and second-highest in its career, selling 28,500 copies.  

Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB are due to kick off a UK tour with British thrash legends ONSLAUGHT tonight at The Globe in Cardiff. GAMA BOMB will be joining ONSLAUGHT and FALLEN FATE for ten shows before heading out on a headlining European tour in October.  

San Fran’s heaviest duo, BLACK COBRA, have just confirmed their upcoming support slot for Kyuss Lives!, featuring drummer Brant Bjork, vocalist John Garcia and bassists Nick Oliveri (US dates) and Scott Reeder (Canada dates) of legendary stoner rock gods Kyuss! The second leg of Kyuss Lives! dates will kick off mid-November, and in addition to BLACK COBRA, will feature The Sword as direct support.  

Portland, Oregon’s metal-punk warriors TOXIC HOLOCAUST have teamed up with Cleveland, Ohio’s Midnight for a split 7” to benefit the victims of the Japanese tsunami disaster.  

Batman: Arkham City – The Album will be released in conjunction with the highly anticipated forthcoming videogame Batman: Arkham City. Featuring 11 new original tracks, Batman: Arkham City – The Album will be released on October 4th, two weeks prior to the game’s North American release on October 18th. The Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition of the game will include a download code for the album along with additional bonus content.
