RAMMSTEIN, the Berlin-based band known for their incendiary live performances, will bring their brand new live production to North America this spring for 21 dates kicking off April 20 in Ft. Lauderdale. Tickets for the tour, presented by Live Nation, will go on sale beginning Friday, Nov. 18 and will be available at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.  

Arrangements have been finalized for the memorial service for Cory Smoot AKA Flattus Maximus. The service will take place this Friday November 11th at the Bennett Funeral Home Chesterfield Chapel, located at 14301 Ashbrook Parkway in Chesterfield, VA. The private service begins at 4:00 PM.  

Rose Funeral released Gates of Punishment on September 27th and has thus far been heralded as the band’s best effort to date. Fans that have seen Rose Funeral live in the past know that the band puts on an intense show. This tour will be no different with guitarist Ryan Gardner now handling vocal duties. Rose Funeral will be joining the tour on November 15th in Spartanburg, SC.  

As leaders of extreme music and one of the hardest working bands around, the legendary NAPALM DEATH is currently putting the final touches on their 14th studio album (excluding the cover album Leaders Not Followers).  

Ventura, CA’s Cirith Ungol, one of the most underrated bands from the early 80s metal scene, released four albums between 1980 and 1991. Cirith Ungol’s catalogue is being celebrated through the release of a collection of rare and live tracks on the 2 CD/1 DVD album, Servants of Chaos.  

Baltimore, MD rock band Evolver is gearing up for the iTunes release of their debut self titled album on November 8th through Thrive Music Group.  The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Brian Virtue (Chevelle, 30 Seconds To Mars, Jane’s Addiction) and mastered by Brian Johnson (Nickelback).  

   Dutch Death Metal Bruisers BODYFARM have released a new video for the track “Slaves of War,” taken from the band’s self-titled EP. Originally released by the band in 2010  

German Metal Stallworths Rammstein have released several different trailers for their upcoming video “Mein Land”. Check them out here…  

Syracuse heavy rockers Brand New Sin have announced a string of live dates in support of their newest release, United State,out now on Goomba Music. Additionally, the band will be on location in Detroit this weekend for a video shoot for the track “The Lord Came Down.”

Riff-mangling  instrumental/progressive act LOINCLOTH have inked a deal with Southern Lord Recordings for the release of their debut full-length, aptly dubbed Iron Balls of Steel on January 17th, 2012. Brooklyn Vegan are helping us spread the word like the plague this week by streaming two tracks from Iron Balls of Steel.  

Dave Lombardo, legendary drummer of SLAYER, has responded with an early reaction to dozens of early photos of his band in the upcoming photo book Murder in the Front Row: Shots From the Bay Area Thrash Metal Epicenter, by Harald Oimoen and Brian Lew.

GWAR guitarist Cory Smoot AKA Flattus Maximus was found dead on the bands tour bus today. Lead singer Oderus Urungus spoke about Cory today…
