English feel-good rockers MASSIVE WAGONS have won the first ever Hard Rock Hell Rising Stars award.

Having loudly and proudly celebrated its tenth anniversary, the UK’s Hard Rock Hell festival continues to expand and evolve, with one major leap forward being the introduction of the HRH Awards, the first of which was held at Hard Rock Hell’s main arena in Pwllheli yesterday (Wednesday, 8th November).

“Awards are a big part of the industry,” says Hard Rock Hell’s CEO Jonni Davis, “So we felt it was time that the HRH community made its own voice heard, showing appreciation for the music they love and the people who make it.”

The lavish, red carpet affair featured a number of award categories, including HRH Legend, HRH Axeman and HRH Rising Stars – all of which were voted on by the fans – with Earache Records’ recent signings MASSIVE WAGONS playing a blistering set and taking home the HRH Rising Stars award.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the entire Hard Rock Hell community,” comments the band, “This was voted for by proper rock ‘n’ roll fans, and it means the world.”

MASSIVE WAGONS also kicked up a storm recently with an unforgettable sold out hometown show at the Lancaster City Library – a location in which multi-platinum singer Adele once performed – and have just a couple of shows remaining in 2017, before returning in 2018 with a brand new studio album and what will surely be their biggest year yet.

Don’t miss MASSIVE WAGONS at these shows:

Nov. 25 – Troon, UK – Winterstorm Festival
Dec. 02 – Porthcawl, UK – Planet Rockstock

Formed in Lancashire by brothers Adam (guitar) and Alex (drums) Thistlethwaite, both in their 20s, MASSIVE WAGONS are the newest rock ‘n’ roll hopefuls to sign to Earache.  Rounded out by Barry “Baz” Mills (vocals) and Adam Bouskill (bass), MASSIVE WAGONS play straight-up, feel-good rock ‘n’ roll in the English tradition – no gimmicks, no agenda.

MASSIVE WAGONS‘ Earache debut is slated for release in early 2018.  For a taste of what’s to come, check out their tribute to legendary STATUS QUO rocker Rick Parfitt with their song “Back to the Stackhere.
