One of the long-standiing New Wave of American Heavy Metal (NWOAHM for short, I guess) bands, Chimaira, called it quits in 2014 amidst constantly rotating members, save for lead vocalist Mark Hunter. Marking 2013’s Crown of Phantoms as their swan song, Chimaira ceased to be. That’s changing, if for at least one show.

Posting nothing more than a photo to the band’s Facebook page, the band confirmed that a Chimaira show will be happening in Cleveland, Ohio on December 30th, at the Agora Theater. The band line-up being teased, featuring vocalist Mark Hunter, guitarists Matt DeVries and Rob Arnold, bassist Jim LaMarca, drummer Andols Herrick, and keyboardist Chris Spicuzza, which haven’t performed together in Chimaira since 2010.

No word on if Chimaira is going to follow up this date with additional ones, but as of now this is the only scheduled date for the reunited band.
