As if you couldn’t get any more Deadpool, you’re in luck: he’s getting his own animated series.

It was reported today that Donald Glover (Community, AKA Childish Gambino) and his brother, Stephen Glover, will both be producing an adult-targeted animated series featuring the iconic mercenary, which already has ten episodes ordered to FXX. This order follows the success of the FX series Legion and the recent reveal of The Gifted, the next Fox-Marvel television series.

Speaking on the untitled and forthcoming Deadpool series, president of original programming for FX Nick Grad comments:

“Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta. With the success of Legion, we’re looking forward to again partnering with Marvel Television to create a series that is bold, striking and entirely original.”

The Merc With A Mouth has grown in popularity in the previous years, but has seen a massive surge with the success of his film last year, which went on to being the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time in America that wasn’t The Passion of the Christ. A sequel is expected to be released on June 8, 2018.
