Canyon of the Skull Tracks:
The Path (of Bear and Wolf)
Canyon of the Skull

Canyon of the Skull is:
Adrian Voorhies
Erik Ogershok

From a 2 man metal band, this album has a lot of grunt to it. Falling in the doom/stoner categories, Canyon of the Skull lay down a highway of riffs that take you through the fuzzlands and mountains of doomage. Clocking in at around 36 minutes, it’s a trek for a 2 song debut, but both tracks are well worth the listen. Utilizing typical detuned, overdriven guitar with a nice fuzzy halo, and a very healthy back beat, Canyon of the Skull give you a heavy blues album that holds no real surprises, but will still leave you smiling.

Broken up into the 2 tracks, The Path… is all about staying in the groove, as Canyon of the Skull’s Adrian Voorhies speed is low and slow for the 17+ runtime of the track. It’s got chugging, crash, sonic ass, and is about as dry as the desert plains. It’s a jam session song for sure. Track 2, title track of the self titled Canyon of the Skull, is a litle more of the same but different. Still massive sounding, groove laden, desert in the middle of the night doom drone, and perfect for sitting back and chilling.

If you like instrumental stoner doom, Canyon of the Skull by Canyon of the skull is right up your alley, waiting to lull your mind into a fugue state of euphoria. Pick it up on October 30, 2015, and let your spirit free!
