Britain’s legendary extreme heavy metal act, Cradle Of Filth, will kick off its first North American tour since 2009 tonight in Houston, as they embark on a headlining run on the “Creatures From The Black Abyss Tour” presented by FEARnet and Decibel Magazine.  The infamous, Cradle Of Filth, will be joined by Nachtmystium, Turisas, and Daniel Lioneye on the 31-city trek in support of their ninth studio album, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, which hit stores in November on Nuclear Blast Records.

Tickets for the “Creatures From The Black Abyss Tour” are on sale now through all major ticket retailers.  A special VIP ticket package is also available exclusively through Artist Arena at: http://tixx1.artistarena.com/cradleoffilth/, and includes one general admission ticket, a meet-and-greet with the band, a signed Cradle Of Filth poster, and a commemorative VIP laminate.  VIP tickets are limited, so fans are encouraged to take advantage of this rare opportunity before it’s too late.
To celebrate Cradle Of Filth’s long-awaited return to North American shores, the band has teamed up with FEARnet.com for the “Cradle Of Filth” sweepstakes.  Fans can enter to win a Cradle Of Filth prize pack, which includes a newly redesigned PRS Paul Allender SE guitar autographed by the band, a copy of Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, a t-shirt, and more.  Head over to: http://www.fearnet.com/cradle-of-filth-sweepstakes/index.html for full details.
The band will also be checking in from the road via an exclusive tour blog on FEARnet.com.  The first post is now live at: http://www.fearnet.com/blogs/cradle_of_filth/index.html, so be sure to tune in for a special video message from Cradle Of Filth frontman, Dani Filth, on the set of the band’s recent music video shoot for the song, “Lilith Immaculate”.
Whether through their wildly elaborate and theatrical live shows (which have incorporated giant lumbering puppets, fire-breathing dancers, freaks and stilt-walkers), provocative merchandise (including the now legendary ‘Jesus Is A C***’ t-shirt), breathtaking artwork, or the weighty subject matter of their albums (their last told the story of a French Lord who fought alongside Joan Of Arc before embarking on a horrific killing spree), Cradle Of Filth is a band whose uncompromising stance has been rewarded with legions of fans around the world, making them the most successful British heavy metal band since Iron Maiden.
Stay tuned to for more information on Cradle Of Filth and the “Creatures From The Black Abyss Tour”.
