The Big Kahuna Hard Music, News

Britain’s veteran extreme metal band, Cradle Of Filth, is now streaming a new video blog on the mini-site for the band’s forthcoming album, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, at: href=”http://www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth/darklydarklyvenusaversa/videos.php”>http://www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth/darklydarklyvenusaversa/videos.php.

In this intimate and revealing chat, shot on location in Shoreditch, London, Cradle’s infamous frontman, Dani Filth, and renowned guitarist, James McIlroy, sit down to discuss the band’s writing process, future plans, and the controversy that has followed them throughout their career.

In addition to the video blog, the band has also posted a preview of the track “Deceiving Eyes”, and the new music video for “Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)” at: www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth.  A new track preview will be added to the mini-site and the band’s iPhone app every Wednesday leading up to the November 9th release, so be sure to check back often.  The mini-site also features other Cradle Of Filth media, including a link to download an MP3 of the track “Lilith Immaculate”.

Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, Cradle Of Filth’s ninth studio album, will hit stores in North America courtesy of Nuclear Blast Records.

The Grammy nominated, Cradle Of Filth, continues to shock, excite, disgust and inspire in equal measures.  A loyal stalwart to the satanic horror ethos, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa is a concept album based on Adam’s first wife, the lascivious demoness Lilith.  It was recorded at Monkey Puzzle Studios, near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, England, and is the follow-up to 2008’s Godspeed On The Devil’s Thunder.  Artwork comes courtesy of Natalie Shau.

Whether through their wildly elaborate & theatrical live shows (which incorporate giant lumbering puppets, fire-breathing dancers, freaks and stilt-walkers), provocative merchandise (including the now legendary ‘Jesus Is A C***’ t-shirt), breathtaking artwork, or the weighty subject matter of their albums (their latest told the story of a French Lord who fought alongside Joan Of Arc before embarking on a horrific killing spree), Cradle Of Filth is a band whose uncompromising stance has been rewarded with legions of fans around the world, making them the most successful British heavy metal band since Iron Maiden.
