Extreme metal’s most infamous act, Cradle Of Filth, has teamed up with America’s horror magazine, Fangoria, to premiere the band’s latest music video for the new track, “Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)”.  The video was directed by Dani Jacobs, and the song comes from the forthcoming full-length, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, to be released on Nuclear Blast Records on November 9thIn the words of Cradle’s iconic frontman, Dani Filth, the band’s ninth studio album is their “most sinister and darkened fairytale.”  The music video for “Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)”, the album’s first single, does nothing to dispute that statement.  Head over to Fangoria.com now to see for yourself.              The Grammy nominated, Cradle Of Filth, continues to shock, excite, disgust and inspire in equal measures.  A loyal stalwart to the satanic horror ethos, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa is a concept album based on Adam’s first wife, the lascivious demoness Lilith.  It was recorded at Monkey Puzzle Studios, near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, England, and is the follow-up to 2008’s Godspeed On The Devil’s Thunder.  Artwork comes courtesy of Natalie Shau.               A preview of a new track from Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, “The Cult Of Venus Aversa”, is now streaming on the album’s mini-site at: www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth.              The track is also playing on the band’s new iPhone app, which launched last week, and can be downloaded at: http://mobileroadie.com/apps/cof-app.  The free app contains audio samples, videos, pics, and allows users to keep up with all the latest news from the band.  It also has a “Top Users” function, which awards points every time the app is used (i.e. write on the fan wall, post photo, share items to Facebook and Twitter, listen to tracks).  The band will award a special prize of a unique signed art print of the album’s artwork, plus a signed copy of the album to whoever is the top user at midday (UK time) on the day of the UK release (November 1st).  Full terms and conditions are on the mini-site.             In addition to the new track preview and iPhone app, the mini-site also features a video blog, info about the album, a gallery featuring new band pics and elements from the album artwork, a link to download a MP3 of the track “Lilith Immaculate”, other downloads, and more.
