One of the very first Swedish Death Metal bands alongside Nihilist, Morbid and Treblinka, the band initially released their first demo in 1986 under the bandname Corpse, before they switched to GRAVE in 1988 and throughout all these years, they haven’t changed their style very much, while other companions left the true Death Metal path along the way, to bigger or less success. But it’s GRAVE’s longevity and consistency that survived any trend since the late 80’s and established them as one of the most important Death Metal bands ‘Now and Forever’....
Fantômas, the eclectic supergroup featuring Mike Patton (Faith No More, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom), Buzz Osborne (Melvins), Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, MadLove) and Melvins’ drummer Dale Crover filling in for Dave Lombardo (Slayer), release The Director’s Cut Live: A New Year’s Revolution on DVD and as a standalone audio download on Sept. 6 via Ipecac Recordings.
Abyss Records will release a very special album from Norway’s SINCERA later this autumn. The first recorded release in FESTER’s Bjørn “Tiger” Mathisen Fester was involved in 17 years will be called Cursed and Proud and will include a remastered version of the unreleased Tall and Proud demo and four live tracks, as the true essence of SINCERA is found in stage performance.

After self-publishing for much of the ’90s, Paul Grist brought two critically acclaimed original titles to Image Comics in 2002: the crime drama KANE and then the eclectic superhero series JACK STAFF. Recently, Grist has been using his sparse, signature style to develop a new superhero that will be introduced to the world this November with the debut of MUDMAN.
