Norwalk, CT, February 1, 2011: After hosting nearly 100,000 fans, guests, and professionals at the 2010 edition of New York Comic Con (NYCC), organizers of the annual event have decided to extend the length of the show by an extra day in 2011 in order to accommodate even more attendees as well as provide additional programming and business opportunity for the artists, creators, and exhibitors who are the foundation of the show’s success.

Legendary metal act Motörhead recently made an appearance on late night show, CONAN, to perform their newest single, “Get Back In Line.” “Get Back In Line” is featured on the band’s soon to be released 20th studio album entitled, The Wörld is Yours, which in-stores on February 8th.

US death metal pioneers Incantation have been announced for The Underground Unleashed 2011 Festival, which is set to take place September 30th – October 2nd in Darjeeling, India. Incantation founder/guitarist/vocalist, John McEntee had the following to say about the fest –

Newcomer Nate Simpson Makes Monumental Debut at Image Berkeley, CA – 25 January 2011 – Image Comics carries on its tradition of introducing the best new talent with an all-new title from rising star Nate Simpson. Where would Dark Horse Comics be today  

This past October at New York Comic Con, Dark Horse announced that we would be developing our own platform for digital comics distribution. We stated we would launch this exciting new initiative in January. However, factors beyond our control have impacted our plans and we are working to address these new developments.  

Stan (The Man) Lee is at it again. Mr. Lee’s SLG Entertainment and The NHL have teamed up to create 30 superhero characters based on the NHL’s 30 teams.  

We’re just a few weeks away from the second chapter in the “Reign of Doomsday” saga, and the big question is: who will be left standing in Doomsday’s wake? Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come…
