Keeping with their tradition of bringing listeners the finest in underground metal, Abyss Records is pleased to announce the recent signing of Latvian old-school, sludge-laden death metal act DISEIM. With a five-song demo entitled Sinner already making its way through the metal community, DISEIM are currently hard at work on their full-length debut scheduled for a summer 2011 release on Abyss Records.  

Swedish old-school black metal kvltists WAN have announced that SPAZMOSITY drummer Dimman will be  joining the group as a session drummer for the foreseeable future.  

The recently-released double-disc Dio CD, ‘Dio at Donington UK: Live 1983 & 1987,’ is about to get a glorious vinyl makeover. On February 15, 2011, the album will be issued as a double vinyl set with deluxe gatefold packaging, and on 180 gram vinyl – the first-ever Dio album to be released in this high quality vinyl format.  

Due out on February 8th, 2011, Listenable Records resident blackened barbarians SVART CROWN offer their latest brutal masterpiece, Witness The Fall.   Spawned in France by guitarist/vocalist J.B Le Bail, SVART CROWN was born in 2005 with the idea to push the boundaries of extreme music, and create a new dimension of brutality and blackness. Following numerous tours in his native land, SVART CROWN released its first album, Ages Of Decay in early 2008. The band has been promoting this first effort since then, with countless shows and two European runs. Around J.B. Le bail, guitarist C. Frandrois, bassist L. Veyssière and drummer G. MR. BIG is back to announce their highly anticipated new studio album entitled « What If… » on February 8, 2011 on Frontiers Records.  

October 12 saw the release of Epic, Steve’s new full-length CD/DVD. Digital release on 10/12, in stores on 10/26. Epic breaks the tradition of guitar instrumental records by fusing cinematic composition and rock production elements seamlessly with intense and varied guitar performances ranging from western to blues to shred.

Superman’s departure from Metropolis to walk across the country has led to a slow news cycle for the city’s biggest paper. If a lack of Superman front-page headlines weren’t bad enough for the paper, a muckraking news blog has accused the Planet of bribing Superman for their stories — putting even their journalistic integrity on the line!
