Death metal pioneers MASTER are less than a week away from an anticipated return to North American in support of their latest release, The Witchhunt. Kicking off on April 17 in Philadelphia, the North American Witchhunt Tour 2014 will see MASTER spending three weeks demolishing stages across the U.S. Joining MASTER‘s legendary founder/frontman Paul Speckmann will be guitarists Alex Bouks [ETURNUS, ex-INCANTATION] and VJS [NIGHTBRINGER, INCURSUS], along with drummer Ruston Groose [SURGEON]. Legendary NWOBHM band SATAN will kick off its first U.S. tour tonight at Black Bear Bar in Brooklyn, New York. The influential trad metal pioneers will spend the next six days gracing North American stages in support of their 2013 comeback album, Life Sentence.  

Today, New Orleans’ favorite musical miscreants, EYEHATEGOD, announce their most extensive US tour in years. Scheduled to commence in Atlanta, Georgia on May 28th, the day after the official North American release of their long-awaited new full-length, the trek will punish twenty-six cities, coming to a close on June 22nd in Tampa, Florida. New York City stoner doom trio, BLACKOUT, will bring their quaking riff rituals to Canada later this month on a four-date mini tour through Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. This will mark the band’s first time ever on Canadian soil.  

Ritualistic doom practitioners,DARK BUDDHA RISING, are Neurot Recordings‘ latest signees. Hailing from Finland and with four albums already under their belt (most recently 2013’s Dakhmandal), DARK BUDDHA RISING conjures psychedelic sprawling space jams made up of expansive yet concentrated bellows of decaying distortion and broken-signal analog bleeps, cannoning across antimatter, and presented with staggering finesse.  

Candlelight Records today confirms June 24th as the North American release date of IX, the new album from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. Massachusetts hellions, GOZU, will take their riffs overseas next week for their first-ever European takeover! Set to begin at the legendary Roadburn Festival, the band will wage a full-on volume ambush through ten select locales in the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia and Italy, concluding with a performance at Desertfest in Berlin. GOZO will be touting the fruit of their The Fury Of A Patient Man full-length released last Spring via Small Stone.  

Washington, DC’s ILSA has completed tracking with Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations in Baltimore for their fourth LP, The Felon’s Claw. With ten new tracks of the band’s most brutal material to date, and featuring the debut of new guitarist Tim Moyer (formerly of pre-ILSA outfit, Time Of The Wolf) as well as guest lead appearances by former axmen Lady Snowblood and Domenic Romeo.
