Death Valley High, the Bay Area band Consequence of Sound described as “hook-happy goth rock,” are currently wrapping up work on a five-song EP titled Duel with guest vocals from Deftones’ Chino Moreno, RevCo’s Chris Connelly, and Death Angel’s Mark Osegueda. The EP arrives in May with a release date to be announced shortly.
Following the release of their brand new End 12″EP, out now via Get This Right Records and Beatdown Hardwear, Southeastern Pennsylvania’s CDC has confirmed the routing for their upcoming Spring US tour in support of the record. The tour runs from April 2nd through 13th, including shows down the East Coast and out to Puerto Rico for one gig before touring homeward.
Occult death rock conjurors, ANCIENT VVISDOM, will bring their rituals to the stage on a near month-long live run alongside atmospheric Icelandic metallers, Sólstafir. The ceremonies will commence on April 22nd in Brooklyn and swarm twenty-five cities, the journey coming to a close on May 20th in Richmond.
Following their recent journey breaking stages alongside labelmates, Inanimate Existence, technical death dealers WRATH OF VESUVIUS, otherwise known as WRVTH, will embark upon another run of live takeovers, this time supporting Ænimus as part of the Dawn Of The Shred tour. Assembled by Sojourner Booking and presented by Digital Tour Bus and Mt. Baker Vapor, Dawn Of The Shred kicks off May 6th in Van Nuys, California and will stomp through eighteen cities, the final show to take place on May 26th in Fresno, California.
Fozzy have announced that they will be joining legendary rock outfit Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators for a handful of select dates this May. The band is currently wrapping up a headlining tour in Europe and are excited to return to the states on the strength of their newest album “Do You Wanna Start A War”, which was released last Summer on Century Media.
Australian thrash grind unit and recent Housecore Records signees, KING PARROT, will release their long-awaited new full-length May 19th in North America via Housecore Records. Titled Dead Set, the record was produced by the legendary Philip H. Anselmo, and his recording crew of Michael Thompson and Steve Berrigan at the infamous Nodferatu’s Lair (Down, Eyehategod, Superjoint Ritual et al) in Louisiana and spews forth ten ravaging psalms that showcase KING PARROT‘s signature punk rock spirit and pummeling sonic debauchery.
Between the Buried and Me are excited to announce the “Coma Ecliptic” tour, named after their forthcoming new album, for July through August in North America. The tour features support from Animals As Leaders along with openers The Contortionist. The tour will be the band’s first official set of dates following the release of “Coma Ecliptic” on July 7th.
