Long Island’s explosive technical metal quartet CAR BOMB has been declared as direct support for the mighty Meshuggah on their upcoming 25 Years Of Musical Deviance Tour in Europe this December. The six-city run, from December 12th through 21st, will see the bands inundating venues in Switzerland, Italy, Holland, France, England and Germany, which when combined, will surely deliver one of the most damaging metal tours of the season. Additional support will come from Semantik Punk.

Ending two months of hard work at the farm, Lou Casse, since their massive Summer tour — including geese feeding to make Foie Gras — French rock duo, THE INSPECTOR CLUZO, heads back out on tour this weekend on their Gasconha Rocks Fall World Tour 2014.

Bay Area sci-fi death battalion, RINGS OF SATURN, has invaded and decimated the nation’s rock charts, with the first week’s numbers for Lugal Ki En having landed this week.

Today, California’s favorite death-laden horror hellions, EXHUMED, will take their sonic debauchery to the streets for a Fall run of US live invasions with extreme metal technicians Carcass and manic death thrashers Noisem. Set to commence in San Diego tonight at Brick By Brick, the Inked In Steel Tour 2014 will conquer nearly two dozen municipalities with additional audio infiltrations from death metal legends Obituary and Macabre on select dates. From there EXHUMED will return to Europe for further live devastation alongside Aborted, Origin and Miasmal. See confirmed shows after the break.

The split 7″ EP from Sierra Vista, Arizona-based FUZZ EVIL and Southern California’s CHIEFS is out today via Battleground Records, and its fuzzed up!

With the main event shows this Friday, Saturday and Sunday night taking place at the historic Rialto Theatre, with tonight’s kickoff show and afterparty shows at the nearby The District Tavern, the third year of SOUTHWEST TERROR FEST is by far the most massive installment yet.

Goatwhore have launched a brand new music video for the track “Nocturnal Conjuration of the Accursed.” The song is from their latest collection of NOLA-flavored extreme metal cuts, entitled “Constricting Rage of the Merciless.“

Michigan punk/metal misfits CHILD BITE are pleased to unleash the noxious fruits of their Strange Waste EP later this Fall via Housecore Records. Spewing their self-proclaimed “music for losers,” the nine-track Strange Waste — recorded at Russian Recording in Indianapolis, Indiana and produced by the band — finds CHILD BITE in full-throated pigfuck mode, pulling from various extreme ends of metal, noise, and hardcore without falling squarely into any of those genres. Instead, CHILD BITE boasts something altogether different and original. Refusing to slide comfortably into your music library, CHILD BITE can lurch from synth-driven punk to yelping, sax-soaked art-rock to thundering, ugly sludge....

As it seems Jake’s Backroom is th eonly venue that can advertise, I once again venture into its sticky-floored depths in search of heavy stuffs! This time, Palms, Chino of the Deftones side project (of who can keep count at this point), was rolling through town, and I simply had to go! The under card was local band Murrieta, and mid-show Boyfrndz (terrible spelling theirs).
