Epica have revealed today that they will be returning to the United States for another leg of the tour supporting The Holographic Principle. Dubbed “The Ultimate Principle,” the band are bringing a line-up that surely emphasizes the “ultimate” aspect.  

This year is quickly shaping up to be a year of thrash shows that are unbelievably stacked. We already went through Overkill and Nile, and we still have Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold this year, Slayer and Lamb of God, Megadeth and Meshuggah… There’s a lot coming out way and it’s only April. In midst of this, Testament and Sepultura have teamed up for a run across the states in support of Brotherhood of the Snake, an album that I enjoyed and, them being Testament, surely meant great things were in store, right? Especially with Sepultura opening, this hardly seemed like a show to pass up on.

ZAKK SABBATH, the Black Sabbath all-star cover band featuring guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne), bassist Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie), and drummer Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bl’ast!) will release the limited edition Live In Detroit LP via Southern Lord Recordings on June 16th.

This summer Metallica’s WorldWired tour hits stadiums across North America. The band has invited along special guests Avenged Sevenfold and openers Volbeat or Gojira to join them through out the summer. However, as some fans have noticed, there are a handful of cities (five to be exact!) where only one band from the bill is able to join. Since Metallica have had so much fun checking out local bands that fans voted for to open the shows in other parts of the world (Central/South America, Copenhagen and Mexico City), it only seems natural to invite fans to once again voice their opinion and help choose a band. This time around, the group receiving the most fan votes will hit the stage first on their own five-city...

Las Vegas-based rock outfit OTHERWISE are returning to the road this Summer on a headlining tour in the states. The band will embark on the “Close To The Gods” tour, with support coming from Through Fire and Righteous Vendetta. The Wise Guys have been hard at work on a new record, which will serve as the follow up to their sophomore effort “Peace At All Costs” (2014). Speaking about the upcoming tour and the opportunity to play new material for their fans, Otherwise lead guitarist Ryan Patrick comments:

US black metal unit WOE begins their European live takeover with Germany-based black metal unit Ultha Thursday, April 13th. The trek includes an appearance at Roadburn on April 22nd with future onstage assaults both stateside and abroad in the plotting stages.

Canadian heavy metal/stoner rock faction BLACK WIZARD is currently waging their riff war across the US supporting Brant Bjork and Royal Thunder. The tour, which BLACK WIZARD officially kicked off April 9th in Sacramento, California, will run through May 1st in Los Angeles, California and includes performances with Pentagram. THE DEAD DAISIES’ awesome live juggernaut is set to storm into North America in August for a dozen prime live dates as part of their Live & Louder World Tour, in support of the release of their landmark ‘Live And Louder’ album on Spitfire Music/SPV/eOne on May 19th. Heralded “The Dirty Dozen Tour”, the trek is set to kick off in Chicago, IL on August 10th and will wrap in Las Vegas, NV on August 27th.

Southern California-based progressive rock outfit AEGES are preparing to return to the road in the U.S. supporting their latest full-length effort, Weightless (2016). The band will be joining hard rock titans Chevelle as direct support on a May tour, as well as playing a handful of festivals including Rock On The Range, Rocklahoma, and 98 Rockfest. Before embarking on their upcoming U.S. tour, the band will also play a pair of shows with Hell Or Highwater on the West Coast.
